Sir...the M54 does not have valvetronic.The M54 is a very nice engine to work on.Straight fwd job to change the gasket.Just ensure you put silicone sealant sparingly at the half moons on the head....

hood hit wiper arm

mine's an e36 coupe 5 speed manual.
the hood hits both the wiper arms at the pivot everytime i open it.

are the wiper arms for the coupe different from the sedan?
