How much did you pay for this battery? Usually batteries are covered under a warranty for at least a year...I doubt it was too small, perhaps a bad cell or something.

I would suggest anything with the M52 or M52TU motor, very solid and reliable, I had an E34 with that motor that ran to 300k before being totaled, would have kept going and going...

What do you mean by "get the full gap insurance"? If you put a large downpayment you are negating the entire benefit of gap insurance, there is no such thing as "full" or not "full" gap insurance....
