Thanks for the DIY. It's very helpful to know that arm can be so easily removed, on some BMW models the base of the strut blocks the ball joint.
The large front bushing seems to be a common failure...

Alignment printout had a toe specification of 1/16" min to 1/8" max.
255/50R19 has an overall diameter of 29.2" (spec from tire rack).

The option code was 2VA (MSRP was $3500) when ordering, and appears as S2VAA...

The option to look for on the E70 is Adaptive Drive, which will have a "SPORT" button at the base of the shift lever. A major feature are the "active" sway bars :thumbup:

MY2012 X5d required a Smog Certificate to renew the registration. It seems like this is just used to generate some revenue for the state of California, since there is really no Smog Check performed....
