Wouldn't it be a lot less trouble to take it to a qualified AC service place and get it done right? An AC charge should last for years anyway, so your cost will be amortized over a long period.

Since only Class 1 hitches are sold for it in the US, I suspect you will have to find one in Europe.

And I would think MORE than twice about towing more than a ton with any 3-series.

Changing the belt and tensioner is a pretty easy DIY project that can be done in less than 30 minutes.

Go to a good indy mechanic that knows BMWs and have them change your oil and filter to the CORRECT oil and filter for your car....
