Really it's just depends if you want a smaller sportier car or a bigger more luxurious car.

Another comparison is the Infiniti G37, it also traps at 13.9 seconds 100mph. But it have 330hp and only weights 3700lbs.

The 550xi even with AWD does NOT have hydraulic steering. It's electric. Because of the V8, the hydraulic steering system wouldn't fit in the 550.
Only the 535xi have...
