If you came up with misfires on both cylinders after you swapped the coils back you need to check and make sure that you have the coils plugged in correctly,they are a bit tricky to plug in correctly.

No need to get confused. For some reason my code list was stating that the codes you are getting were evap sytem codes, they are not. They are what HF listed.

The hoses in the picture are not evap hoses. They are crankcase vent hoses. The crankcase vent and the evap system are two completely different systems. I think you need to find a different mechanic....

The pump is a common failure item on the E60 platform as well. They can be tricky to test as 99% of the techs who are working on these things, dealerships...

You need a Dmtl pump. Basically you have evap codes. the DMTL pump on the minis goes bad al the time. Repalce it and you should be good to go.

I use propane to check for vacuum leaks. Get a propane torch and hook a hose to the end of it. Turn the propane on....DO NOT LIGHT IT.....start the engine and run the hose over areas that you suspect...
