Bilstein or Koni would be a decent suggestion. Koni are more preferred because of the bang for buck. Bilstein are not that much more expensive but are usually harsher than Koni.

No, just getting you ready. And no, I do my own work, sir. The regular maintenance, per the book for a 135i (minus the turbos), is a bit excessive to keep it running nominally.
