I plan to either:

Buythe car direct from BMWFS and purchase a BMW extended protection plan.

OR

Buy the car CPO'd from a local dealer.

You still need the inspection although my experience is that if you turn it in at the same place you are picking up the new one, it's a formality. I had 4 marginal tires. They marked them as such...
