E60 idrive screen slow on startup.

My e60 has been having this problem for a while, where when I start the car the idrive doesn't turn on right away. It will stay black and after a while it will turn on any ideas?

I have not changed anything other than the windshield itself! The should not be a faulty because it is the original oem part!! And why did you say that there is a 90% chance it won't work?

I want to know where the sensor is located( where it is suppose to go when it comes from the factory). And yes because it is giving me a reading that is way off from what the temperature is outside
