That wouldn't work, the carrier itself is very different LSD vs. open.
You can't put a clutch assembly into the open carrier, you have to swap the entire carrier to make an LSD out of an open diff....

Turns out it's the consequence of my CCV delete / catch can conversion.
After I reassembled and tested the car again today, the noise was still there....

I went ahead and pulled the manifold just now.
Nothing obvious except one of the seven nuts that hold the manifold to the head wasn't tight all the way. Could it cause the leak? Doubt it....

Take yours out, there should be the HW and SW versions stamped on the label.
Look for one that's at least your version or higher.
