I have a 04, which was stiffer than the other years, and I dont think it rides rough at all, firm yes, but nothing crazy. My last vehicle was a lifted Titan and our other car is a Mercedes CLK500...

you should be able to get OEM pads and centric...

you should be able to get OEM pads and centric rotors for about $300 and replace them yourself, takes about an hour total, its REALLY easy, like easier than changing the oil easy.
