I've asked him to try and disconnect the battery...

I've asked him to try and disconnect the battery for 10-15 min and try again. If that doesn't resolve his issue, think I may just get the unit back and try it in my car.
Luckily I bought an adaptor...

I haven't got to the point to where the car won't start, but in the last few weeks, I've had an issue of turning the car on and the OBC is asking for the date and time to be set.

Well, I may just wait on the rear speakers for the moment. I replaced the stock radio with a new Pioneer X6700BT and night and day difference in the sound!! I get WAY better low and high end response...
