Can you be more specific in voltage reading? My bad alternator also had voltage around 14. It was getting voltage spikes upto 17.8V intermittently. The alternator with bad VR was reading 13.4 to 14.8...

It's fixed. It was am intermittently bad VR also on the replaced alternator. Took it back to them and gave me another alternator with a new VR.

I managed to remove the Alternator and take it to a reputed shop to check and service as required. Hope this is the issue and the VR is built in. Let your know the outcome

Thanks cn90. Tried to remove the alternator without any success because of access and didn't have instructions. Do you know the location of VR and a way to remove it?

It should disappear after few minutes of running....

It should disappear after few minutes of running. Make sure oil change done in time with correct synthetic oil
