I don't think it was the differential, I think it was the convertible top cover that delayed all convertibles due to a fire at the factory that made them (in the Czech Republic I think.)

As a first step, I'd suggest coding out the fake engine sound from the speakers. Or, as others have done, you can buy a wiring harness to accomplish the same thing.

I'd ask them to show you the cracked pipe. What service did they do, just an oil change? Hard to see how that could have caused the problem. Is it under warranty?

Strange - it almost seems that your pads are too small for the rotors. I've never seen a patern like this where the pad is only making contact with about 75% of the rotor surface.

I did my first change for the M240 at 5000 miles. After the 'free' changes by the dealer are over I'll do what I've been doing for 20 years - use properly rated synthetic oil and run 7500 miles...
