And that's what I did - I was just (poorly, apparently) indicating to the OP that he may have to unscrew the tip, depending on the nature of his specific set of spark plug...

You do not need to get new rotors turned. Take a look at the other side and make sure you've got the caliper bracket in the right orientation. You did do this one side at a time, right?
