Doubt it, the X3 really hasn't changed in 2 model years, plus even in 2012 when my hitch was installed there were a lot of post on these forums about 3 day hitch installs.

Your dealer definitely didn't know what they were doing. I waited at the dealer while they installed my oem hitch and did the programming. The whole process was done in 4 hours.

That's terrible. I waited in the lobby when I had my hitch done. It only took them about 3 1/2 hours to install the hitch and do the programming.

I don't think it is that since the X3 are made in the US and aren't shipped over. Plus Audi and just about ever other SUV sold in the US has a factory hitch option.
