Do want to drive it fast and hard? If so go with OEM. There is nothing in the aftermarket that outperforms the OEM parts.

If you are just putting around town, aftermarkets will be fine....

oh, and yes, others have the same issue. I don't think it is a problem for anybody.

IMO, it may be due to looser tolerances and the backlash of the gears. I imagine BMW designed it that way...

I don't think this part is oem. Look at the difference in the last two pictures. These Russian diaphragms are likely reverse engineered....
