Post OBC access not working

i have a 1988 735i and can not access the codes since the car wont start. I have turned the key on and pressed the gas pedal to the floor 5 times fast and nothing appears. Any ideas anyone???????????

Try the crank position sensor it is located below the lower radiator hose just above the crank pulley. I had same problem thought it was fuel and spark and put crank position sensor and it worked...
