I believe it's 4 or 5. It's 24 valves plus the disassembly & reassembly. I did mine - started 9PM at night, finished 2AM.. but I took my time, and did some lily gilding (cleaning unnecessary parts)...

The S14 isn't an S54.. it's gonna take a bit longer than 2 hours (it takes an hour to get all the crap out of the way so you can even see the valve stems.. and an hour to put it all back..)

It's not that expensive. There are only two handles usually that need replacing. For $400...

Not true. There is an oil spray at the bottom of the pistons to help cool the pistons, but that is not a cause...
