They usually fail at the reservoir connections due to the location and heat but I got 50,000 miles out of OEM hoses before they leaked.

Then I cut an inch from the top of each hose and re clamped...

Wouldn't hurt to check the brake booster and ecu drains as well.

If there is water under the ecu a shortcut to the drains is carefully running a coat wire hanger through the middle wheel fender...

Installed BMW fan blades, 1.5 years 10,000 miles later no issues. I have stock intake i6.

i used a e46 intake boot part #13541438761 to delete the sound resonator, like BentValve said it is also easier now to see and work under the intake manifold.
