I don't know about the cost of headlight assemblies in Australia, but I can get one in the US for about $1000. It's an easy install. Might want to try it yourself.

There's no way to increase hp without making the engine and associated parts work harder. That said, many people seem to agree that BMW left a lot on the table with the N54 engine.

If you're going for a 30i, then no year is better than another. That engine (N52) has not had any service issues. The same can not be said for turbo engines.

I would always choose an IL6 over a 4 cylinder engine. It's what made BMW famous and you'll never get the same sound from a smaller engine.

Yes there'a a lot of travel in this clutch. Compared to my brother's 911, you are pushing that pedal much further. I would say if a driver shifts well, the clutch could get 100K miles easy.
