There was a guy on eBay that had them from time to time. Try searching completed postings and see if you can find the member ID and try emailing him. You might also want to set up a "saved search" on...

Slipping clutch

I'm not totally familiar with the clutch on that era 6-series, but a slipping clutch should have nothing to do with re-building the gearbox.

Did the mechanic by chance say slipping "synchros"?...

I've got Brittalman exhaust in a convertible. Works fine but important caveat.

I got mine off eBay for $499 + 200 also. If it's the same guy, he was great. Shipped quick in nice boxes to protect all the components. The ENTIRE system is fully polished and came with all the...

Short Shifter

I think Rogue Engineering makes one. I'm trying to think of the others (there are 1 or 2). I don't own one yet and I don't work for them, but as an engineer their website sounds like they've really...

I'm pretty much convinced I'd like to just replace my mufflers with a nice Magnaflow units. Magnaflow doesn't have an axle-back setup for the convertible (only the coupe), so I guess I have to build...

Excited @ First Major Mod - what Magnaflow P/N's??

Coincidence - Plates

I wonder it this one tops that?

Years ago I had a 300zx with the license plate "OUTAZWAY".

One day, I got a speeding ticket, but the officer wrote "OUTZAWAY" on the summons. So I go to court...

I realize anything is possible given enough time and money - I'm wondering if anyone knows the technical specifics. What part numbers are different between the cars? Has anyone tried this yet?

Retrofit for real-time traffic

Maybe a dumb question, but does anyone have any idea if it's possible to retrofit the real-time traffic system to older (04-07) 6 series? Is it a totally different head-unit, or do we just need to...

Great Mod!!! Was it really 100% bolt-on?

I thought I heard somewhere that the brackets and the hubs were different for the M6 as compared to the 645/650?

Do I really just need a set of calipers, pads and rotors from an M6?! If so I'm...

Exactly, but with the key in and the driver's door open it never stops chiming. There must be a way to shut off the door chime.

Is there a way to turn on the radio w/o key or kill the door chime?

On my '02 330ci, you could push the power button even w/o the key and play the radio for 30 minutes. It was nice to open the doors or roll down the windows while detailing the car.

On my '04 645...

645ci Instantaneous Fuel Economy Readout?

Anyone have a short-shifter kit in their 645 in NYC?

I traded my '02 330Ci 5-speed for an '04 645Ci with 23K on the odometer about a month ago.

The only thing I'm a little disappointed by is the relatively sloppy shifter with it's long throw. I've...

Hi everyone. New to the board, so here's my 6!

Picked it up about a week ago. I traded in my '02 330ci (5spd, Sport Pkg) that had only 18,500 miles for a '04 645ci (6spd, Conv. and Sport Pkg) with 22,500 miles.

Dang! this is a nice car! I'm...
