I used the Turtle Wax kit on my fiancee's car. I did a half ass job and, six months later, it still looks really, really good.

It takes a bit of elbow grease, but the end result is well worth it....

Don't forget about the M10 BMW took and pushed some 50+ PSI to the turbo, generating roughly 1,400 HP from a 2.0L engine. Granted, it wasn't completely stock, but still... that's an amazing feat.
