We use Lucas quite a bit in the Rotary engines. I don't think it's so much about "restoring" or "swelling" the seals. I think it has more to do with its tendency to "crawl" up to areas that usually...

I had a noisy vanos, but it went away after using lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer. Over a year now, still no noises or issues. Just a thought. :)

Do you have a check engine light? If so, then I would suspect the camshaft position sensor.

Other than that, have you replaced the fuel filter, air filter, etc.?
