Comfort Access Initialization

After all of my searches, the only thing I have to do to initialize the CA system is to "switch terminal 0 to terminal R". What does that mean? I'm trying to troubleshoot a driver side door handle....

Finally after 4 years of dealing with this...

Finally after 4 years of dealing with this downshift bounce, the dealership finally fixed it with a new ECU and software. Finally smooth acceleration and no surge on downhill when coasting!!

Update...I still have no idea how to fix the problem, but the symptoms have changed a bit. The Comfort Access came back...probably once the unit in the door handle dried out. It went out again...
