I would think that the shudder would continue after20 mph if it were the diff. Along those lines, though, the guibo would be one place to look. If you're not familiar, its the thick rubber disk...

Maybe the piston seal is worn and allowing piston to stick in the bore.
Cheap and not hard to do.
