Thanks but the previous owner used the wheels as curb feelers. it's hard to see in the pic but they are pretty scratched up, eventually I'd like to replace them.

I've had luck with a fishing line, just run it through the back and it cuts through the glue, once its gone you can use a small amount of brake cleaner on a rag and remove the residue.
