If you get the chance and can fight temptation give one a try. I use the paddles exclusively and am fine with the 6 speed, it seems well mated to the N55, its certainly not geared towards fuel...

M Sport with 19s and do not think its harsh at all. Have the Pirelli P Zeros, different tires might result in different ride quality, very happy with these.

Trust me, when you get it the last thing you are going to care about is the shift knob :D. It's a great package, not missing the 8 speed or ASS at all, just shift with with paddles if you don't...

Perhaps some of those voting its fine have 35s which, in my experience, is different and does not have the same issue. It also seems that some find that there is less/no lag when the software is new...
