Best way to know if you have placed the striker in the right position, with the door open, push on the switch in the striker with your finger and try to arm/lock the car.

Where in CA? I can get you the EURO code, the radio decoder I have doesn't have the USA codes. Chances are the dealership wont be able to get you the correct code, something to do with 2000-2002...
