Unbolt the power-steering reservoir, and move it out of the way...
I have also removed the fan shroud too.
The more space, the better IMO.

Yes, makes sense for it to blow because of being dirty, but, weird that both bulbs blew at the same time...
Definitely stay away from the Sylvania 7406 bulbs with the cheap blue film that flakes off...

However, the Castrol 0w40 was cheaper at $21.66, while the Mobil 1 0w-40 was ~$25 for a 5 quart jug.
Both are BMW LL-01 approved.
And, totally agree with "540 M-Sport"....

That power steering reservoir cap/ reservoir needs replacing asap IMO...
Same for the oil fill cap as well...
Needs to be stock OEM IMO...

I did the Pilot mod - connecting a vacuum hose from the back of the intake manifold, to the plugged port on the CCV.
I did not notice any difference.
BTW, this was my 4th CCV...

I wouldn't have recommended BMW LL-01 oils unless I thought it was important, especially after doing multiple oil analyses.
