vacuum leaks can be anywhere from after the afm to bad rings. valve cover gasket is also an area, the crankcase breather under the intake has an oring at can fail. intake manifold could be cracked...

+1 on still having a vacuum leak. the dimming lights are just from the load demand on the alternator as the revs drop.

Help! My car is driving me crazy

since it sounds like its running rich, first thing i would do is check/change the fpr and tubing to it. second depending on the year, if its an eta, check the cold start injector, may be stuck open....

ah the early injection. be easier and better to run metal brake line due to pressures. believe theyre the same size. may also want to check realoem or pelicanparts to see if they might have the parts

i bought mine with 312k and i changed the hg before i bought the car (i worked at the shop). there was someone on here with 640k.

strong motors if they are maintained.

quick test. remove transmission fill plug. dip...

quick test. remove transmission fill plug. dip figure in oil. if color of oil is normal, lots of possibilities. if its shiny, the synco is shot. time for a rebuild
