I think chasing voltage drops is a waste of time. Even if present, and there is no evidence of that, it couldn't explain a diode failure. And BTW, the 0.03V drop you measure is an excellent result....

There are several/many modules fed B+ permanently through the high amp (80 - 200 A) bolt in fuses found in the fuse block above...
