You can't do that. What you saw were pictures of an early model e30 that had been converted to plastic bumpers. The bumpers are the only things that can be changed, not the tail lights.

You need new weather stripping. Same thing happens to my hard top but the weather stripping for the hardtop is $700. I don't think it's near as expensive for the soft top though

Well the stomp code was 1223 which it coolant temp sensor, which was what i had originally thought it was but wasn't sure. Never removed a coolant temp sensor before, what am I in for?

So I tried taking the blower motor out yesterday and cleaning it out thinking it might have been just dirt inside the motor. But when I put it back in, it worked on all 4 setting for the first time...

Heater doesn't have a belt it's self but when you turn on the fan it puts a load on the alternator belt which could cause a belt squeal.

Similar thing was happening to me and everyone told me it was the fan clutch too. It turned out to be the coolant temp sensor was bad. Check to see if that's bad
