Code 1213 (lambda)

Finally got a code off my 95 540i. 1213. I understand this error typically pertains to fuel/air mixture issues, and often traces to a vaccuum leak.

I am thinking this may well be consistent with...

Hmmm.. I'm not sure how to check that. I do know that the main fan for heat, etc is pretty weak. Is there a quick way to find/test this AUX FAN?

Hmm... when starting out in 4/Sport mode at what RPM does your car usually make its first gear change? I had mine up at 5k+ rpm and still it didn't go into the next gear.

Yeah.. that's kind of like how mine is. One time I was coming to a stop light and instead of gearing down gradually as I slowed down, it went like 4-3-2-1 in the space of 2 seconds. Jerked the car...

Hey guys,

I'm just curious as to how shifting in my auto 540i (95) works. I find it to be a bit erratic. Not that it slips out of gear, but that it doesn't seem to have consistent timing with...
