Isopropyl alcohol works well on tree sap and is inexpensive and fairly gentle on the clear coat. You probably swirled your paint and it likely can be fixed by polishing.

VCG is easy, even for a novice, do it yourself. Oil filter housing gasket is not as easy, my Indy charged me $300. If you're happy with the way the car handles, delay on the FCABs. Welcome aboard.

Informative thread, my $0.02, the radiator does not need to be a part of a preventative maintenance cooling system overhaul. It is rare for a radiator to fail.
