I had the Petronix on my '73 tii for a while a few years ago and didn't like it. It was prone to perodic moments of low power output. Never figured out why.

I have used standard points, 8mm wires...

Car pulls left when braking. Ideas?

My buddy has a '72 2002 which is experiencing a fairly strong pull to the left under braking.
-Brake pads and shoes are in good order.
-No fluid leaks.
-No apparent contamination to pads....

I took my old one into the BMW dealer and they looked up the number and ordered one for me a couple years ago. Exact same thing. Can't remember the cost but it was under $25.

I purchased a warranty much cheaper for my M3 from Fidelity. Also, you can play the odds. $4500 pays for a good amount of repairs.

I agree, the NADA guides are pretty good. But the final price is really what someone would pay. Emotion is a big part of the sale. And some cars just have 'something extra' or a pedigree that appeals...
