Dumb question: Have you verified that you've properly reconnected both of your boost bypass valve hoses back to the charge pipe? This could definitely cause boost leaks. Ask me how I know. :/

And yes definitely pick up a scan tool -- try the bluetooth dongle one that works with your smartphone. Can do lots that is BMW specific.

Pretty good stuff from what I hear.

Worst case, the parts of the belt get through the front engine seal and mucks up the internals. I'm not sure how likely that is, but it has happened.

Not really sure if this is even a remote possibility....but check your leaf traps. That is, driver and passenger side plastic grilles near the fenders, in the engine bay.
