IF you haven't already, check out your wheels and tires which 90% of the time are the issue. Out of balance, not hub-centric, bent wheel, tire coming apart etc...all lead to vibrations at speed.

With a 2 bar system, and lots of plastic parts, the BMW engineers pushed the limits of what the healthy system could handle. Use and age weaken the plastic and wear parts( water pump)...

Another way to clean and polish the pins is to put them in a wood vice and use a wire wheel in a drill. Really works well at getting off any gunk and polishes them up very nicely.

I plan on trying the dry lube next time I pull the wheel off. I've gone with dry pins, greased pins and will now try dry lube. Can't say I've noticed any difference in performance or wear though...
