Sorry to see you leave. A Z with hard top and snow tires is perfect for year round driving. However if you need to carry more than 1 person around, I can see it being an issue as an only car.

Congrats on your purchase. As far as the surging and sputtering. It could be because it sits for long periods of time. Get out there, blow the carbon out of the engine and drive that thing!

The questions have already been answered, let us know your results! Also do you have a Z3 as well as a 318i convertible? I think you may be confusing your Z3 1.9 with a regular 3 series convertible.
