Robin is correct. If you let it sit a few minutes oil will drain from the housing down into the crankcase, just as if you had drained the oil.

Not necessarily. Scrape the underside of the Oil Filter Housing with your fingernail. If there is a tar-like substance there, the OFHG is leaking.

That screw is an overflow screw used when you are filling and bleeding the system. Replace with OEM screw. Stick with BMW coolant. You can get it at any dealer for less than $25.

Do you use a torque stick. Putting bolts on with and "air gun" (I'm assuming 1/2" impact) will over-torque them by 50-150%. How do you control that? The correct torque is 88 ft/lb.
