Do you have HD radio? If you do that is your problem, nothing a dealer can do. You should be able to go into the I drive and turn HD radio off and that should fix it

Unfortunately it is probably valve guides or seals...very common on the e46s. A quick test you can do is have somebody stand by the exhaust, rev the car up to about 3000 for about 30 seconds then...

Actually Audi was the first to use the wankle rotary back in the 50s but I believe a engineer from Mercedes invented it gets wankle or something like that.

Because they are extremely light, fairly easy to work on, amazing power for such a small engine. They make a really cool sound above 7k, they are high reviving and pretty forgiving as far as over...

I wouldn't call it a good deal but no you diddnt get ripped off. 80 an hour is a pretty normal rate BMW dealerships charge up to 120 or so an hour.

I believe its just part of the diesel way of life. Most cars puff before they are fully up to temperature which is why you get bad gas milage when you start driving for the first 10 minutes or so.
