I would have a set for each car and leave them as decoration for my tool boxes. :rofl: I would also take them to the parts supplier so I'd always have the VIN with me. :thumbup:

When I wrote 'set low' I meant that the spindle for the throttle could be vertically mounted. That puts the TPS under the inlet tract. Thats how petrol gets into it.

To the OP - 1) Yes and 2) No. Hope you have replaced ALL the head bolts and cleaned out ALL the debris from the threads/holes in the block.

THat could be the throttle bypass valve playing up. maybe it got flooded and damaged. Remove, clean refit and try again. Also if the TPS is set low it could need a clean and reset.

The vacuum connection to the FPR increases the rail pressure a few psi during acceleration - same as the pump on a carb - to richen the mixture. Sounds like your FPR has died.

They have the heads towards the front of the vehicle and accessable after the starter is removed. Don't think you will be able to drop the T/C out. You will be able to replace / tighten the bolts...
