E46 330d Meyle shocks any good?

So the Meyle wishbones & RCABs are reckoned to be pretty good, but has anyone used or know what Meyle shock absorbers are like?

I bought the genuine Esso stuff from a VW parts wholesaler (much cheaper than BMW!) a couple of months ago :).

I will just re-iterate that the pan bolts are not made of aluminium, I can't remember who said that now but they are wrong.

They use steel bolts all the time to screw into ally, & yes sometimes...

Yes there is an access panel on the htr box which can be removed without taking the dash off, ( it's behind the stereo & CC module, find out what I had to take off to do it here...

I bet you wouldn't use that much though if you were stuck with using the Esso LT stuff we stuck with over here (for the ZF boxes), 10+/ltr & that's trade...

Lol, you won't get it hot enough to melt the plug from friction ;), my guess is that either it already was partly rounded off (physical forces) from someone else not fitting the allen key all the way...

Check the rubber doughnut (forgotten the proper name lol) between the gbox & the prop, they can tear/split, especially if g/box oil's leaking onto it or you're heavy with the right foot off the line...
