How many people had an E39 before their F30 and what do you think?

I have an e39 528i and the new F10 is just huge in comparison. The F30 seems like the more logical successor in terms of size. I've skipped the E60 since to me the looks were just too hard to love....

It's been 4 months and 2500 mi since I put my housing back on with new gaskets and Permatex Super 300 sealant. So far no new leakage. Not an easy thing to permanently fix.
