Rear swing arm ball joint

When replacing the rear swing arm ball joint once the integral link is removed the swing arm should be brought down to rest against wheel carrier assembly, as in Bentley informational video here...

That was my experience also, except I did brake SAP to valve plastic hose (it was old and brittle). I reused the hardware without thread locker just put back on tight all is fine after approx 3k...
