Btw, my mech is weary of drilling and tapping the second coolant temp sensor. And since e live in FL we are not worried about cold starts I was thinking of using a resistor to simulate running temp....

the bearings on the fan are shot, that's why it's making noise in your car overheating at idle. replace the fan as soon as possible or your would be replacing the motor like I am. good luck

Coolant temp alarm(coolant snitch)

Does anybody know if this exist for our cars, I'll be doing a m52 swap thanks to my wife cracking the head on my 93 525i which she ran hot due to the aux fan not working ...

we got it[ figured it out. the shaft goes between the cylinder lock and ignition switch was broken . we got one from the junkyard now I can start with a screwdriver .

Ticking noise

Hey guys, galls....... 93 e34 m50 motor got a ticking noise under the car around the tranny kind like a valve tick but higher pitch. It does goes up and down as I rev the car any ideas??? thanks
