Like sails earlier find out what the faultcodes are, also .i get AFS fault messages frequently as well and they mean nothing for me as they always are gone after car has been asleep and AFS works...

If older than 5 yrs you might want to replace it, since your problem goes with lower ambient temps. I would go for the battery first, also even though you state it measures...
