Check the current draw with an ammeter across the fuse or inline if you have a halls effect probe. Do you have Bluetooth? I've heard of current draw from some TCUs.

Keep in mind if you get a U L F you'll need a pairing button. You can get a retrofit one from Bimmernav I think.

I'm just saying my U-joint went out and it caused the bearings to go out in the rear differential. I had to replace both.

Sounds like the rear end is bad also. The same thing happened to me a few months back. Had to replace the drive shaft and rear end. Cost me 3K.

It turned out to be a leaking AC compressor. I also had a small coolant leak. I got both fixed yesterday (coolant kit and new compressor).

2004 Oil Leak

I have a slight oil leak around where the AC drain is (left side facing the front of car). I looks like it might be transmission but I can't tell. Any ideas? Thanks.

I've already had the valve cover gaskets replaced...

I've already had the valve cover gaskets replaced so I guess it's probably the oil filter housing that my leak is coming from. Oh and my SAV is a 2004 2.5 with 120K miles.

I wouldn't do it yourself unless you have gauges. If there's a leak get it fixed don't use refrigerant with leak sealer.

The same thing happened to me. I bought 2 pumps and 1 of them was bad. They sent me a new one. I was going to suggest that one of the new pumps could be bad.
