Must disagree boys. The 'bong' is the warning of the lights "malfunctioning" so it's on & off constantly as well as the dash lights warning, I know that for sure, and that's why it drives me nuts. ...

An alternative I use is remove the battery & keep in the house/garage near a window & connect a cheap ($20) solar trickle charger. Even normal daylight is enough to keep it going even when snowing....
