I didn't know that a regulator holds a charge , you may be confusing it for a capacitor . :confused: regulators don't hold a charge !

He is right with the alternator being suspect , the charging system should be 13.8 volts running , but charging the battery for 8 min si not sufficient enoug to get a full charge . Check any loose...

Mine did the exact thing and I replaced the brake...

Mine did the exact thing and I replaced the brake light switch on the pedal , and the intermittent brake / tail light msytery disappeared for good .

I would check the switch and try cleaning it...

I would check the switch and try cleaning it first , if it still doesn't work I would unbolt the seat and verify what elevation motor is making the clicking sound , I would remove the cable and plug...

It's a simple but tidious process , it too is located in the engine compartment by the fire wall I don't exactly remember how many bolts , but the plate by the firewall is what you have to remove ....
